What do you want to know about your prospective realtor before choosing them?
Here are a few questions that you might want to consider:
- Is she trustworthy and professional?
- Can I call past clients and ask them if they were completely satisfied?
- Does my Realtor know the area well?
- Does she have a good understanding of neighborhoods, schools?
- Does she have experience in construction, septic systems, wells, etc.?
- Can she provide me with one-stop shopping?
- Can she refer me to the best loan agents, inspection companies, appraisers,
pest companies and other resources I may need?
- Is she a skillful negotiator? Will she be diligent in getting me the best deal possible,
even in a difficult market?
- Does she have great relationships with other people in the industry?
- Will she be there before, during, and especially after the transaction is completed for me?
- Does she just take on any client? Or does she communicate well to see if we are a good match?
- Does she really have my best interest at heart?
- Does she consider that a home is not just a home, but an important investment
opportunity for building equity?
- Will she communicate well with me through the maze of issues that are involved in a
transaction and help me understand what I need to do in partnership with her?
